Pu'olo I'a (Bundle of fish)

Kulia has received approval from Food Bank to distribute bags of groceries to economically disadvantaged clients.


Employment Services (Learning to catch fish)

Under our growing career development/employment services program, we provide pre-employment services (resume, job search, interviewing), job referrals and Working Divas, a support group for upwardly mobile girls.

Job Training. Clerical and office skills training will begin in November, 2005. The training includes: keyboarding (typing); word processing, database, and spreadsheet basics.

 

HIV, Substance Abuse and Hepatitis Prevention for Minorities, including exincarcerated individuals.

This new prevention program begins with 6-9 months of developing a community-based plan by a workgroup that includes representatives of HIV, substance abuse treatment/prevention and hepatitis prevention/immunization agencies. The program will move into client services after completion of the plan in 2006.
